Ongoing Outreach

MFA is committed to continue to work with the Aboriginal construction industry to determine its capacity and ability to undertaking work for the 2007 and beyond construction seasons. Once these consultations are completed, and once the 2006 construction season is evaluated, MFA will determine the number and value of contracts to be tendered in future construction seasons. In addition, MFA will continue to work with the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs (AMC), Manitoba Metis Federation (MMF), the Aboriginal Chamber of Commerce and Aboriginal contractors as the floodway project proceeds.
